5 of 5 A great tool for working on site September 5, 2021
Reviewer: Paul K from Michigan, United States
I work on site at events and music festivals, doing everything from site operations and stage builds to ticketing. This chest harness is the perfect companion to keep other areas of the body free when carrying a radio on site is required. I had considered the larger vest style and sling packs but glad I went with the low profile and lightweight RP-1.

Pros: Feels durable, gets the job done. Simple design, works well with backpacks or carrying other gear as well. Low profile, no big stupid logo / name like a billboard on the front of your chest. The little diamond + sign thing is small--looks great.

Considerations--shoulder straps can rub after a long day of bending over and picking stuff up, wearing 2 shirts helps alot. Order the XL if you are anything other than a tiny human. Can always adjust the straps and make it smaller. Having some sort of clip in the mid back to grab the cord for a hand mic would be cool, but can always improvise there.

1 of 5 Failed all expectations February 7, 2018
Reviewer: Abigail from Montana
I bought this radio harness back in December of 2017 for ski patrolling. I was originally disappointed in this harness because the elastic on the radio pocket was too tall so it was always keying the mic, so I ended up cutting the elastic back. Now, two months into the season the zipper pulls out/fails, and I still have two and a half months left of the season. Extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.(Our products come with a lifetime repair/warranty/refund if returned within 30 days.  Send your harness back to us and we will be happy to repair it or replace it.)

4 of 5 Good but needs one improvement April 27, 2017
Reviewer: keystoneclimber from State College, PA
Love the design of the pockets and pouches, but the strap system could be improved.  I use mine for paragliding.  as such, my arms are constantly in the air.  The problem I was running into is as follows...  When putting this on I would always position the small square plastic piece on the back where the straps cross low on my back.  This was the most comfortable position and would allow the straps to sit properly wide on my shoulders.  As the day goes on, the plastic square always starts to ride up towards my neck.  This, in turn, pulls the shoulder straps towards my neck and causes rubbing.  I fixed this by cutting the webbing under the plastic square and sewing in to each of the four sides of the square.  Now it stays put where I adjust it.

5 of 5 great for women August 22, 2015
Reviewer: Cal Kelley from Bay Area
Having tried many harnesses, I found they all were uncomfortable in my 15 years of k9 search.
For some women, most of the harnesses do not conform well across our chests, being too hard or too straight to fit over curves. Or it sticks out too far and we keep getting a radio antenna up our noses.
But the Scout is small enough to fit lower,  just lengthen the straps and it sits neatly across the midriff. The radio pocket is at an angle so when climbing thru brush or over rocks, the antenna stays off to the side. Got enough pockets for me as I'd rather have the smaller perimeter.
Just about to order my third - we have gone thru a lot of rough areas.
I've recommended this harness to SAR groups across the country!

5 of 5 Great lightweight radio harness May 9, 2014
Reviewer: Nathan from San Mateo, California
Just got a chance to use this harness. I was at a drill and was wearing it for 10 hours straight. Very comfortable. It holds my Motorola talkabout in the small pocket and my Cobra cb radio in the large pocket.
It is built very well and looks like it will last. My only complaint is that the pen pocket is to short, if it was 3/4 of an inch longer it would fit my pen much better.
Still a great product
