3 of 5 Shoulder straps a problem August 17, 2022
Reviewer: Ian from British Columbia
The split shoulder straps became an ongoing issue while deployed.
The padding was never where it should be
I may be missing something.. why?
Why split the padding into 2 pieces ?
Otherwise , very cool and innovative pack

4 of 5 Love the pack, HATE the shoulder straps April 30, 2022
Reviewer: Craig Mignogno from Ohio
I love this pack. Fully strapped up with the waste belt it rides great. That said the two piece shoulder straps are all most enough to make me not recommend this pack to my team mates. 90% of the time when I’m 1 shoulder slinging the patch off my shelf into my truck out of my truck at HQ and into a team rig the two piece shoulder strap pulls apart and always haas to be tucked back together. It’s enraging!
The molle panel that makes up the helmet holder should have Velcro on it as should the top of the pack. I added a Velcro panel.
The fully opening back is an awesome design and the pack loads out well!
Just over shot it trying to do too much with the shoulder straps.

4 of 5 Great but could use some tweaks February 18, 2022
Reviewer: Tyler from PNW
I work for a small Fire District that covers a total of about 2500 square miles so we all keep backpacks with us at all times with the essentials, cold weather stuff, lights, water, food etc.

I have used this pack for about a month now and have came to really like it with a few little gripes.
1. no Velcro on the outside for marking or name tapes etc.
2. very hard to access in a pinch without opening up the entire bag to get something or a pouch out.
3. The Velcro in the shoulder strap likes to come undone, almost like there isn't enough Velcro to secure the strap and it relies too much on the webbing that goes over it.
4. The waist strap and padding get in the way, it would be really nice to be able to secure them out of the way.

Overall really satisfied with the purchase, just needs a little improvement

4 of 5 Great pack August 21, 2021
Reviewer: Shane from Pacific Northwestern
Love this pack….my only complaint is though it has hydration tube ports there is no way to secure a water bladder, either a sleeve or at least internal suspension strap would be good.  Would also prefer a red or other hi vis color for SAR work

5 of 5 Great job, Coaxsher! May 7, 2021
Reviewer: Brad W. from Idaho
After multiple training events, my new SR-1 Valor backpack has proven it is very well suited for the SAR environment in form, fit and function.  The nearly 38L size fits all my 24-hour packing list items and the MOLLE webbing and internal pouches allows for tailored modularity.  Also, the strong Cordura material is rugged enough to handle harsh, off-trail environments where SAR operations often take place.  The best parts for me are the brilliant full length back panel zipper that permits easy access regardless of load plan and the fully adjustable shoulder and hip straps that lets me carry the load comfortably and securely.  Great job, Coaxsher!

5 of 5 Very Pleased with this Pack February 11, 2021
Reviewer: Dean
I bought the Valor for use on a search & rescue team, and its working out great for that propose. Its a good medium size for a 24-hour pack with extra room for team medical or technical rescue gear that might be needed. Being able to open the back of the pack and get eyes on everything inside is a game changer in the pack world and I don’t really miss the top loading pack I used perviously. I think that my least favorite thing are the shoulder straps, since they’re difficult to adjust, but once they’re adjusted properly (thanks to the Coaxsher video) they’re not a problem and comfortable. I’ve added water bottle pouches on each side, a MOLLE chest harness, radio pouch, and multitool, and the MOLLE on the pack makes that easy to get it set up according to each users’ needs. Overall, I’m very pleased with the pack, know it will give me many years of use on the SAR team, and interested to see what EMT additions you come up with for it.

5 of 5 Wonderful pack February 10, 2021
Reviewer: Aaron K from Western WA
Most packs try to woo you in with tons of storage pockets in every nook and cranny. The SR1 Valor takes a different approach. It only has two compartments. There is a compartment at the top of the pack for your most frequently accessed gear, and then there is the main body of the bag. It's a vast compartment lined with hook-and-loop fastener. The Valor comes with four transparent organizer bags that fit into this area.
The best part is the access. The whole back of the pack opens up like a tool bag, giving you easy access to all of your gear. There is also an access zipper on the side into the main compartment for getting in quickly without having to undo the main opening.
The workmanship is top notch. It has YKK zippers as you would expect on any high quality bag. The shoulder and waist straps are very nicely padded and have lots of adjustment.
This pack is in my vehicle every day ready to go at a moment's notice. I can't recommend it enough.

5 of 5 Love this pack! January 16, 2021
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
This pack has quickly become my favorite and goes on most trips from quick sorties to overnights plus.
I love the access on the back panel as it makes access so much easier. The pouches (included) make content id very easy and help organize my gear. Tough, comfortable, adaptable, and glues to my back!
Well done!
