1 of 5 Spend your money elsewhere December 4, 2018
Reviewer: Keith Suttles from North Carolina
Worst pair of fire pants I've ever owned.
1. Very heavy.
2. Material pills after first wearing and washing and gets worse as they wear.
3. Fit is kind of off not comfortable at all.
4. Fly zipper continually comes open.
I keep them hoping that issues would work themselves out but never did. 40 years in wildfire maybe biggest waste of money I've spent. (Hey Keith, we are sorry you're not happy with your purchase and appreciate feedback, even the negative.  We do not want unhappy customers and would be happy to offer a full 30 day money back guarantee and if you're past that time we are happy to exchange the pant to get you into something that works.  Thank you.)

3 of 5 Good but a few changes would make em' great November 7, 2015
Reviewer: J. Strahorn from New Mexico
The good: Durable, breathable, comfortable for the most part.  The changes needed (note I wear a S w/30" inseam):  There needs to be more room in the crotch.  Level terrain no issues, steep terrain= chafe.  Same issue on chafing and mobility with the fit/ cut on the upper thigh.  Front pockets are too shallow and back pockets are too low.  I'm not sure who wore these for field testing but I'm not a big guy(5'6", 135lbs).  The cut/ fit is just all wrong for work in steep country.  Then again maybe I got a pair that were just a Friday job.

5 of 5 Best Wildland Fire Pants in the Field March 11, 2014
Reviewer: Justin Cook from North Cascades Smokejumper Base
I had the opportunity to demo a pair of the Tecasafe Vent Pants and was extremely happy with the results. These pants were worn almost everyday for two fire seasons and withstood every environmental factor associated with fire. The pants stay soft and maneuverable after many sweat and soot filled days on fire. They articulate where they should and the seams are strong. Most importantly, chaffing was non-exhistant during tough hikes or heavy pack-outs. Truly a functional piece of clothing that adds comfort to an oftentimes uncomfortable job.
